#thecosmosnews Chinese Yutu 2 rover spots cube-shaped ‘mystery hut’ on the far side of Moon
The distant, somewhat cube-shaped object is the “mystery house” that China’s Yutu-2 rover plans to take a closer look at.
The Yutu-2 rover is on its way. It has been exploring the other side of the moon since early 2019, as part of China’s Chang’e-4 lunar lander mission. It now has its eyes fixed on a strange cube-shaped object which it spotted in the distance.
The object was spotted approximately 80 metres from the rover. The Yutu-2 rover was launched in 2018 as part of the Chang’e-4 lunar lander mission. Earlier in 2019, the rover discovered an oddly-coloured, gel-like substance.
